This week on xrpldashboard — 2026-09-20

Weekly Sunday post pairing the loudest XRPL-adjacent news with the on-chain reality — every claim linked to the on-site page or the primary source that carries it.

CLARITY Act: cloture failed

The Senate voted 49–50 on Tuesday, Sept 15, at 2:19 PM ET on cloture for the motion to proceed to H.R. 3633. Sixty votes were required. The bill remains at the motion-to-proceed stage; no further Senate action is scheduled. Source: Senate.gov Roll Call #234. Timeline and what has not happened: /regulation.

SEC Innovation Exemption for tokenized stock

On Thursday, Sept 17, the SEC issued an exemption allowing certain distributed-ledger venues to trade tokenized NMS stock. It names no blockchain; venues choose their own. It is an SEC order with a request for comment, not legislation. Sources: Release 2026-90; Order 34-106402.

Our signed chain has a gap: Sept 16–18

The machine that signs our daily snapshot lost power Tuesday, Sept 15, and was off four days. No entries were signed for Sept 16–18; we don't backdate, so Sept 19 links straight to Sept 15. Anchor #7 landed a day late. The site stayed up and live ledger data stayed current; pages fed by that machine showed their last update, and the regulation page missed Tuesday's vote until Saturday. Record: /methodology, Known gaps.

Token Registry

168 tokens remain flagged for ticker collision after the Sept 12 audit; 10–20 are trading at any given time. Live list: /tokens?range=warnings. A flag is a statement about issuer provenance, not a verdict on the token. Definitions: /registry/taxonomy.

Signed receipts

Every /check.json response carries an Ed25519 signature; the public key and verification recipe are at /methodology.
